Celebrating inspirational educators at reunion

The educators worked hard to groom them for their future careers.

Former learners of Mgamule High School in KwaDweshula from the classes of 1979 to 1983 reunited at St Michaels Sands Hotel recently.

Most of the learners had not met for over 40 years after completing matric.

Celebrating at Mgamule High School’s reunion are former educators and learners.

About 80 of the alumni were able to attend and dressed to the theme of green and yellow.
Ngcingci Ntshele, who was part of the organising team said the aim was for the Mgamule High School alumni to come together and celebrate the educators who truly inspired them in their high school years.

Many of the former learners have become great leaders in their communities, while others are now educators, nurses, doctors, engineers, ministers, directors, pastors and business owners.

Ntshele said as the alumni, they felt that they owed it all to the educators who worked very hard in grooming them for their future careers.

“A few educators were invited to the reunion, MaCele Nyawuza, Shaka Ngcobo, Mduduzi Khuzwayo and Musa Nzama. They were treated to lunch and were given a token of appreciation. We will be visiting the school to see what we can donate towards its development and the future of the learners,” Gumede added.
