Lucky outcome for injured dog, thanks to kind-hearted humans
The dog had two broken bones in its leg and an open fracture.
An injured dog is lucky to be alive, thanks to the collective efforts of a local security team and paramedics.
“Just before 11:00 on Thursday, April 20 we received a call from Netcare 911 requesting assistance to rescue a dog that had fallen into the Uvongo River,” said Hendrik Gericke, Fidelity ADT South Coast branch manager.
The dog was badly injured, having broken two bones in its leg with an open fracture.
“Our team immediately went to the aid of this animal, rescued the dog out of the river where Netcare 911 assisted and treated his injuries.”
The dog was carried to his owner’s vehicle and taken to the local vet for further treatment.
“Thank you to all the roleplayers involved in this recue for showing true compassion and care,” concluded Gericke.
