Volunteers needed at hospice shops
The shops are based in Scottburgh, Pennington and Amanzimtoti.
Neil McDonald, CEO of Khanya Hospice appeals to the public to help and volunteer in any one of the three Khanya Hospice shops in either Scottburgh, Pennington or Amanzimtoti.
“We have had many kinds of people helping, but ever since the pandemic, we have not been able to get our elderly folk back into our shops, which is understandable,” said Neil.
“People were and are just too scared to get into contact with other people – like we all were, but we are hoping that there are some who are still able to come and help.”
Volunteers can work whatever shift they choose to, either in the morning, afternoon or entire day.
This is to be arranged with the shop manager.
