Help Trudie take care of feral cats

Funds are needed to sterilise more cats.

Trudie Roets of Uvongo is asking the public to help her with funds, to sterilise feral cats along the coastline.
She looks after the cats between Uvongo and Shelly Beach.

“I have 32 colonies. These cats only appear around feeding time starting at 17:00 in the afternoon.”

She is currently feeding around 368 feral cats daily. She also sterilises as many as she can with available funds.
Trudi has been looking after these cats on her own for 17 years, and only recently got help with trapping from Karen Preston.

“I get help from the community donation-wise, as well as goods that I auction to be able to afford their food and deworming and whatever medical needs arise.”

She said hundreds of cats have been sterilised over the years.
Trudie is asking the community of the South Coast to help her as she needs more funds to sterilise more cats and buy food for them.

“I always need funds to sterilise. The sterilisation account is monitored by a lawyer.”

People can also donate directly into the Lower South Coast SPCA’s account and send proof of payment.
If you want to know more, call Trudie on 082 3274876.
