Iconic Toyota Land Cruiser built tough

The destination doesn't matter because everyday driving and weekend detours are made effortless.

The retro-styled 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is now available at Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach. It is a compact, body-on-frame 4×4 SUV and is available in GX and VX grades.

It boasts a 2.7l engine with 122kW of power @5200 r/min and 245Nm of torque @ 4000r/min, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The dealership currently has a promotion on the GX model with leather seats.

Sales executive Hlengiwe Nqoko loves the leather seats.

“The Land Cruiser FJ comes at a significant moment in the local market, where demand for authentic lifestyle SUVs continues to grow steadily. The entry-level FJ GX comes standard with durable fabric seats rather than leather. We are currently running a promotion on the GX model and have five GX models with leather seats available at great prices. Come along to experience the iconic Land Cruiser FJ; it combines rugged, retro style with off-road durability, modern driver assist tech and advanced safety for tough terrains,” said Sanjay Dayanand, sales manager.

The GX model has a panoramic driving-view monitor, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen display, 7-inch multi-info display and hard-wearing cloth upholstery.

Meanwhile, the VX model elevates with a sleek leather trim finish. With high ground clearance and minimal front and rear overhangs, it makes everyday driving and weekend detours effortless.

Its square-shaped wheel arches help with mud drainage; you can take on sand, rock, gravel or tar with confidence. This SUV comes standard with seven airbags, bird’s-eye camera and parking support brake, giving you the confidence to stay focused on the road.
