Heroines spoilt at high tea

Guests networked and listened to motivational talks by various speakers.

In celebration of Women’s Month, Shelly Centre hosted a Women of Pearl High Tea, to recognise and appreciate women who are contributing positively to the South Coast community last Saturday.

The centre held a competition on its social media page from August 21 to 25 where the public nominated women by commenting on Facebook and Instagram along with their names, to gain a ticket to the event.

Shelly Centre marketing manager, Zimkita Mabovula said anyone could have been nominated for being a heroine, making a significant difference in the lives of others.

Attending the Women of Pearl High Tea at Shelly Centre are Kirsty Hooper and Loreal Nel last Saturday.

They listened to motivational talks by Kirsty Hooper of Local First Hibiscus Coast, Shamin Maharaj of Connor Med Health Centre and Peach Piche, founder of Drinkerbell ZA who shared messages of empowerment, encouragement, and what it means to be a woman today.
