Property boards to raise funds for crime forum
The signboards will help emergency services and other entities to easily locate your property.
The Southport Sector Crime Forum (SSCF) is currently running an initiative to raise funds for various community projects.
They are proposing a reflective signboard outside each property. This will ensure that all owners are complying with the local by-law that requires that each property has an easily visible street address or lot number posted outside the property. It also helps emergency services and other entities to easily locate a property.
The cost of a 30cm x 30cm signboard is R55 and the forum is selling them at R75, which means R20 from each board will go into the SSCF fund.
If you would like a board, message committee member Tim Visser on 076 1482739 or email ward16info@gmail.com with your name, street address, lot number and contact number.
“A mock up of the board will be sent to you for approval, we will then arrange collection of the R75. For those who cannot or do not have means to erect the boards, we will also arrange a day when we can put up the board for you,” said Visser.
