South Coast producer to tell the story of young Jesus
Many South Coast actors and actresses on the South Coast will get an opportunity to benefit from the film and also our hotels, and transport industries.
South Coast film producer, Senzo Zindela, is excited to co-produce a story on young Jesus, ‘Alpha and Omega’.
The film will be shot in South Africa and will speak on the challenges that Jesus faced in his young days and how he overcame them.
Zindela said in this film he will be working with United Kingdom film producer, Kent Waluin, and a Hollywood producer, Jeffery Taylor.
“The film will feature local actors and actresses and will also feature renowned film star John Kani. Commenting on the film, John Kani said reading from the script he believes that this will be one of his best films,” said Zindela.
He said that over the weekend all the co-producers got to spend time in Johannesburg, Durban and Port Shepstone as they did a recce of the film, scouting to find suitable locations for filming and assessing the feasibility of a location, while identifying any potential issues that could arise during production.
“We started in Soweto, Johannesburg last Thursday for a film festival where we introduced the concept of the film. Then we headed to KZN to check out some warehouses that could be used for shooting. One of the warehouses we considered on the South Coast was Dezzi Raceway and towards Durban, we identified the old airport and the Durban International Convention Centre which we were all happy with,” Zindela added.
He said many South Coast actors and actresses on the South Coast will get an opportunity to be part of the film and local hotels and transport services will be used during the shooting of the film.
“Alpha and Omega will start shooting in March next year and will be released on Christmas Day, December 25 next year. The audition dates for actors, actresses, film crew, behind-the-scenes teams and extras will be announced around February next year just before shooting starts,” Zindela emphasised.
He said he is looking forward to working on the film and with local talent.
