Pipe bands unite for fundraiser

Scottburgh's Crocworld Conservation Centre team will be present at the event.

KZN can look forward to a day of fun and outdoor adventure at the ‘biggest gathering of pipe bands in the Southern Hemisphere’ at the Highland Gathering at Hutchison Park in Amanzimtoti on April 27.

This is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Lions Club of Amanzimtoti.

“There is something for everyone and so many more activities and stalls to enjoy this year,” said Lion Madelyn Stander.

“Outdoor adventure enthusiasts and those keen on action sports and engines will be thrilled with our new additions. It’s not just an event; it’s a feast of tradition, music and community spirit that you won’t want to miss.”

While the day’s highlight is the mass bands’ performance, where all the pipe bands unite to create a symphony of sound, there is so much in store for visitors to this year’s family-friendly event.

Scottburgh’s Crocworld Conservation Centre team will educate the crowd with a live animal demonstration.
People can expect crafts markets, food stalls, a dog agility show, a beer tent, live entertainment, children’s entertainment and more.

Dave Guselli from East Coast Radio will be emceeing on the day too.
