Make winter easier for Suid-Natal Primary learners

Support Ruff Culture Motorcycle Club feeding scheme by dropping off either tins of food or clothing at Shelly Beach Spar this Saturday, May 25, between 09:00 and midday.

Bikers from Ruff Culture Motorcycle Club are hosting a fantastic family day fundraiser at the Hillbillion Estate in Oslo Beach on Saturday, June 1.

They are trying to raise funds to provide meals for 60 learners at Suid-Natal Primary during the winter holiday. This equates to a total of 1 440 meals.

So far, with the help of Suid-Natal High learners, a total of 660 canned food items have been collected.

However, you can also get involved this Saturday, May 25, between 09:00 and midday.

President of Ruff Cultural Motorcycle Club Rudie du Plooy with first lady Petro get ready for the fundraiser.

The club will have a drop-off point for food and clothes at Shelly Beach Spar, which has been arranged by members from the Shelly Beach Community Police Forum.

All donated food will go towards their Suid-Natal Primary feeding scheme.

Then, on Saturday, June 1, all bikers will meet at CBali Restaurant in St Mike’s at 09:00, and a mass ride of spectacular motorcycles will arrive at HillBillion Estate in Oslo Beach at 09:30.

Afterwards, family and friends will gather for a fun-filled family day jol.

There will be more than 20 flea market stalls, children’s entertainment with jumping castles, Battle Blasters, picnic area, and so much more!

Grade 9 learner from Suid Natal High, Zander Swart (left) has collected 76 tins on his own, and teacher Nicolette Schültz and her class collected the most tins in total.

There will be fantastic live bands playing: The Gentry, Chewing the Hornet and Elvis and Country, along with awesome prizes, gifts and lucky draws.
