More sardines netted in Port Shepstone

Pradesh Ashookumar netted about 20 crates which he gave away to people.

The cold weather brought more joy to Port Shepstone this morning, in the form of more sardines.

Sardines were spotted on the shoreline.

Pradesh Ashookumar said he was the first person on the beach and he saw a huge dark cloud in the water.

“I knew exactly what it was, so I started netting and others saw me and they also took their nets and joined me.”

He says he netted about 20 crates which he gave away to people and then netted more for himself.

Sardines were also spotted around Port Shepstone, Oslo beach and St Mike’s
