Hilarity reigns at Dingalings show
The Thathas left many in stitches as they navigated the twists and turns of life in an old age home.
The Dingalings Productions is one of South Africa’s leading comedy and performing arts groups based in Durban.
They have performed to sold-out audiences and, last Friday, proved their popularity at Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple’s fundraising event at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre.
It was an evening of non-stop laughter as Koobeshen Naidoo and Henry Ramkissoon took to the stage with ‘Who’s your Thatha?’.
In the show, the dynamic duo finds themselves in an old age home, and their easygoing lifestyle turns them into instant favourites among the residents.
Both Koobeshen and Henry, the Thathas, left many in stitches as they navigated the twists and turns of life in the old age home with charm, wit and, most importantly, a healthy dose of Dingalings magic.
Vice-chairman of the Umbango Sri Soobramoniar, Cohan Pillay, said the event was a huge success.
“The funds raised will be used for the refurbishment of the Amman Temple located on the premises of the Umbango Temple. The temple is well-known for its role in the community and for ensuring social cohesion. The temple has played a significant role in youth seminars and teachings,” said Cohan.
