Lions’ party brings Christmas in July cheer

There was lots of fun, food, speeches and dancing for one and all.

Ramsgate Lions Club recently hosted a Christmas in July party for the disabled in the community.

There was lots of fun, food, speeches and dancing for all.

Each person on the Disability Steering Committee of Margate Ward 6 who attended the party also received a handmade gift.

The Ramsgate Lions Club thanked all the wonderful people involved in setting up this event: Joan Robins, the steering committee, Ramsgate Lions Club members and everyone else.

“A special thanks to our sponsors, without whom this would not have been possible,” said Lion President Peter Lancashire.

Thobeka Mkize of the Disability Steering Committee thanked everyone for their generous sponsorship towards their event.

“Your sponsorship has enabled us to create a joyous and inclusive atmosphere for our guests, many of whom face significant challenges in their daily lives.”

Mkize said this investment has brought happiness and cheer to those who need it most.
