Equipping young minds in Kelso
The Homework Club is not just a place for tutoring; it’s a nurturing space where children feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help.

His Church and Gathering Together (a global NPO) recently handed out 30 stationery packs to children from the Homework Club initiative in Kelso.
This initiative was started by Gathering Together to provide essential academic support to children every Tuesday and Thursday, ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive.
Founded by Shane Olson and his late wife, Lara Olson, the Homework Club was established to offer consistent assistance with homework and English language development.
The Homework Club is not just a place for tutoring; it’s a nurturing space where children feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help.
Gathering Together is dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging, ensuring every child has the support they need to succeed.
The local community is encouraged to get involved by donating books, stationery and other educational materials to improve lives and to help combat the effects of poverty and create a brighter future for everyone.
