Dee Mitchell celebrates 90th birthday

Dee Mitchell of Margate has joined the nonagenarian club, turning 90 on January 19.

She celebrated with family, including her three sons, Craig, Gary and Wayne.

The family spent some time together to celebrate the milestone birthday and also enjoyed a trip to the game reserve.

Dee had three siblings, sisters Beryl and Dawn, and a brother, Ken, who have all died.

She enjoyed her tennis, and she was a member at Uvongo Tennis Club for about 60 years. Dee attends Margate Baptist Church and is believed to be the oldest member in the congregation.

Dee was married to Dennis (who died 10 years ago), who was the eldest son of Douglas Mitchell.

She has many friends, both locally and around the world, and is dearly loved by her three sons and their families, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
