Honours for Andhra Sabha’s stalwarts

The recognition is a fitting tribute to the duo's commitment to the organisation.

Two of the Andhra community’s long-serving members, Gopal Reddy and Krish Naidoo, were recently honoured for their dedication, commitment and selfless service to the Port Shepstone and District Andhra Sabha.

Their recognition came as a fitting tribute to their commitment to the organisation, which they have collectively served for over 90 years.

“The Sabha’s legacy is built on the foundation laid by its many longstanding members (past and present), and with the continued dedication of people such as Gopal and Krish, the future looks brighter than ever,” said PRO Johnny Rajoo.

At the organisation’s recent Ugadi and 70th anniversary celebrations, the Consul General of India, Dr Thelma John David, presented the prestigious Andhra Maha Sabha of South Africa National Awards to the duo.

“Your contributions have not only enriched the community but also ensured that the legacy of the Andhra Sabha continues to flourish for generations to come,” said John David.
