Woman attacked in town, dumped on Old St Faiths Road in Umtentweni

It is believed the victim is a domestic worker who was on her way to work.

A woman was found assaulted on the corner of Old St Faiths Road and Parker Street in Umtentweni last Saturday morning.

According to a post on a community WhatsApp group, the woman was found by Lazer 911 Security.

It is believed that she was attacked in town (Port Shepstone) and subsequently dumped in Umtentweni.

The deputy chairperson of the District Board of the Community Police Forum, Selvan Chetty, has issued a warning to residents, patrons and employees to be careful when walking on the road, especially when it’s dark.

Further information on the incident is being awaited from police.
