Ugu Saps shine at provincial awards
Hard work and dedication pay off as Ugu Saps members receive top honours at a prestigious provincial ceremony.
Two outstanding officers from the Ugu District were recognised at the Saps KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Excellence Awards at the Durban ICC on June 6.
Colonel Ntombizanele Rejoice Mzotho from Margate Saps was awarded Vispol and Operations Employee of the Year in the Level 8 – 12 category. Mzotho’s commitment to visible policing and operational excellence earned her this top honour.
Also recognised, was the Port Shepstone Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) team, led by Lieutenant Colonel Anjalaydevi Pillay.
The team walked away with the FCS Team of the Year award for their dedicated efforts in handling sensitive cases and serving the most vulnerable members of the community.
The awards celebrate top performers who go above and beyond the call of duty. The annual event is aimed at rewarding brilliant policing and exceptional service.
Ugu District Saps leadership congratulated Mzotho and Pillay’s teams, saying their achievements are a proud reflection of the district’s ongoing commitment to community safety and service delivery.
