WATCH: Fire engulfs Port Shepstone home

The cause of the incident is under investigation.

A double storey house on Price Street, Port Shepstone went up in flames yesterday (Wednesday) at about 15:30.

The fire was reported to Ray Nkonyeni Municipal fire department, which dispatched a firefighting crew.

Firefighting crews on the scene.

Lazer 911’s Officer Winston Lemon and crew were first on scene, and assisted residents to remove some of their belongings. They were assisted by Saps, Law Enforcement, Ugu Disaster Management, and members of the public.

Damage to the top section.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire will be investigated by the fire department.
