The South Coast Adrenaline Series promises lots of action, offering mountain bikers, trail runners and obstacle racing enthusiasts the chance to test themselves while enjoying some of the region’s most scenic outdoor venues.

The series starts at Lake Eland Game Reserve this Saturday (11th), with the MTB race, where cyclists can choose between 20km, 40km and 60km routes, catering for a range of fitness levels and experience.

The children’s 5km race starts at 08:30.

On Sunday (12th), trail runners will tackle the scenic Lake Eland trails in a backyard ultra-style event. Runners can complete one, two or four 12.5km loops, covering distances of 12.5km, 25km or 50km.

Runners must complete each 12.5km loop within two hours to qualify for the next lap, with recovery time available at the race village between loops.

The children’s 5km race starts at 08:15.

Both days’ races start at 08:00, with late registration opening at 06:00.

Spectator entry is free, with a giant jumping castle, a large children’s play area and live entertainment from a DJ.

Halfway Ford will showcase its latest vehicles, offering free 4×4 rides and test drives, as well as competitions and giveaways.

The series concludes at TO Strand Holiday Resort on Saturday, July 18, where participants will take on a challenging 5km obstacle course featuring more than 20 obstacles designed to test strength, agility and determination.
