A knitting day was held at at Cafe Munro at the Hibiscus Retirement Village in Margate, where participants were having tea or coffee, and knitting or crocheting.

The yarn bombed installation was created by the Ramsgate Knit Twits, a group of women who meet once a week to yarn together to raise funds for local charities.

Hazel said she hoped the visual explosion of coloured yarn and creativity will bring a smile or two.

“When the crochet items are taken down, they will be sewn into blankets for the needy.”

She thanked everyone, including the Village for supporting this event.

Adding a touch of handmade charm to the village.
