Pageant crown for Park Rynie’s Twinkle

Kiarah 'Twinkle' Ghirdari will be representing South Africa in India later this year.

Kiarah Ghirdari, known as Twinkle on the South Coast, has just been crowned Mrs India Worldwide South Africa 2025.

This was the first pageant for the 26-year-old from Park Rynie.

“I have been living my passion for the past 20 years in dance and drama and I am proudly married, so this was an opportunity for me to explore as a married women,” she said.

“My dreams inspired me to give it a try and I went for it.”

She explained that making the big decision to take part in a pageant takes a lot of courage, especially for married women.

“I had my family’s support and awesome sponsors that came on board to help me,” said Twinkle.

“I met 11 amazing and inspiring contestants, and each one made special memories with me.”

Aside from being crowned Queen at the YHCSS hall in Ladysmith on June 28, Twinkle also won the titles for Best Talent and Best Personality.

While on this journey, the main challenge she faced was accepting that she should not expect to win, and to be in it solely for her passion.

Twinkle will be representing South Africa in a worldwide pageant in India in August. She will be joined by four winners from Miss Teen and brand ambassadors.

“We will compete and do our best to bring that win back home,” she added.

Many locals saw Twinkle’s journey on social media and are proud of her accomplishments, especially as she hails from a small town. She was grateful and said that you cannot truly become anyone without your supporters.

“I have a great foundation of family and friends in my community who root for me, and I have so much love, respect and gratitude for them.”

“My message to young women is to first find your purpose in life (it could be anything). Once you find your purpose, it will automatically inspire and motivate you to push towards achieving your goals and dreams. You don’t necessarily need anyone to inspire you, you need a purpose and that will be the fuel to drive you to magic!”

Twinkle is also a graduate from India with a Diploma in Acting from a Bollywood super star acting academy, Actor Prepares. She has also done some work on screen.

In her free time, she enjoys doing things that recharge her.

She said that as a wife, she has many roles and responsibilities to play, so she does facials and body care, expands her hobbies, and sometimes just enjoys the peace and quiet.

“This allows me to show up as the best version of myself as I know I can’t pour into others if my own cup is empty,” she said.

At the pageant are (from left) second princess Riya Singh, queen Kiarah Ghirdari and first princess Rebeka Pillay.

Now that she is in a stronger position, she wishes to do more for the community in terms of women empowerment and feeding schemes.

“I love to feed people because I believe nobody should go to bed hungry,” she said.
