Shashika Mooruth’s performance inspires at temple in Port Shepstone

Shashika Mooruth said it was important for people to support musicians by buying from the artists.

Musician Shashika Mooruth left people wanting more after her performance at the Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir in Port Shepstone last Saturday.

Mooruth, who is well-known worldwide for her timeless bhajan, Krishna Jinka Naam Hai, performed with Dhevan Moodley.

The singer also celebrated the release of her first book, Awakening Hanuman Within.

Mooruth said that when you desire something, Krishna will take 10 steps towards you.

She added that it was also important for people to support musicians.

“I think it is also good to educate people about copyrights when it comes to music because that is how we make a living. We thank the temple for doing what it can to make our stay feasible, and I hope to see you again and again,” she said.

The mandir’s chairperson, Veena Lakhan, said Mooruth was chosen to serve the lord in different ways and to educate them as well.
