Rotary Club of Hibiscus Coast welcomes new president
Simoné Lötter is wished a successful year of service and impact.
With great excitement and pride, the Rotary Club of Hibiscus Coast welcomed president Simoné Lötter as the new leader for 2025 to 2026.
It was a joyful and memorable celebration attended by VIP guests, including immediate past district governor Raj Ramchunder, assistant governor Shamin Maharaj, fellow Rotarians and their partners, as well as Lötter’s family and friends.
A heartfelt thanks to immediate past president Mike Macrae for his dedicated two years of service and leadership.
The club’s spokesperson, Wilma Lig, said Lötter’s commitment laid a strong foundation, and they look forward to building on that momentum with her at the helm.
“Rotary is more than just a club – it’s a global family bound by compassion, integrity and a shared commitment to make the world a better place. As I step into this role, I do so with a heart full of passion and a spirit ready to serve – not just with my voice but with action, alongside my fellow Rotarians, united in purpose,” said Lötter.

Lötter and her dedicated board are ready to lead with passion and purpose: Dubretha Oosthuizen (secretary and flea market director), Audrey Ryan (community service), Elise Airey (foundation), Anne Thompson (club service), Cathy de Boer (youth service), Wilma Lig (membership and public image) and Mike Macrae.
On a separate note, congratulations goes to past assistant governor Anne Thompson and Rotarian Audrey Ryan. Both received a Paul Harris recognition, one of Rotary’s highest honours, for their outstanding commitment and service. Named after Rotary’s founder, this award celebrates individuals who go above and beyond in living out Rotary’s motto: Service Above Self. The recognitions were proudly handed over by Macrae.
