Science boffin is solutions driven
He works as a laboratory technician at an international manufacturing company.
Deshan Govender (29) who matriculated from Marburg Secondary in 2013, has achieved another accolade on his academic journey.
He recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Chemistry from UNISA, building on his earlier achievement of a BSc in Applied Chemistry from UKZN in 2017.
In addition, UNISA’s College of Science, Engineering and Technology has already enrolled him in a Master of Science programme and awarded him a prestigious academic scholarship to support his research.
“The goal in pursuing a master’s in science is to develop solutions that address everyday challenges – solutions that are economical, innovative, and beneficial to society,” added Govender.
He is employed as a laboratory technician at an international manufacturing company.
He thanks his parents for their support.
