Devotees to observe Krishna Janmashtami
Krishna Janmashtami holds significant importance to Krishnaites as well as Hindus around the world.
Several temples will observe Krishna Janmashtami, an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna.
* The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir in Lower Albersville invites all to its celebration today (15th), from 18:00. Bhajans, hawan and recitals will be rendered. The mandir will also hold the Hindu Heritage Camp at the mandir on Sunday, August 24. Registration closes on August 21. Contact Veena on 067 0688282.
* The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple invites all devotees to a spiritual festival this Saturday (16th), from 17:00. Services will be rendered. Devotees are welcome to bring their offerings for prayer and prasadam will be served. For more details, contact Cohen Pillay on 076 4062386.
* The Shree Raam Nayayan Mandir continues with its celebration of Gita Week which culminates this Saturday (16th) at 17:00. The temple society will host a fundraising high tea at the HICC On The Ravine in Umbango on August 31, featuring ‘Bash with Tash’. Tickets cost R150 per person.
