Join alien invasive plant removal party at Bendigo Nature Reserve in Southport

Come learn about the safe removal of invasive alien plants and building healthy soil.

Bendigo Conservancy is inviting the community to join its alien invasive plant removal event at Bendigo Nature Reserve in Southport on Saturday, August 23, from 08:00 to 11:00.

The event will take place near B-Cubed Guesthouse and Leka’s restaurant, on the corner of Hazel Road and the R102.

Nature lovers are encouraged to bring gardening tools, such as secateurs, loppers, lashers, garden forks, spades and pick hoes. Wear old, closed-in shoes or gumboots, long sleeves and long pants.

The outing promises to be a cheerful and informative community event, offering participants the opportunity to help with vital environmental work while learning about the safe removal of invasive alien plants and building healthy soil.

Refreshments and brunch available afterwards. RSVP to Dee on 071 8662129.
