Music, auctions and pet lovers raise thousands for Lower South Coast SPCA

The event once again highlighted the community’s strong support for animal welfare and the work of the LSC SPCA.

The annual Pints for Paws music fundraiser was a roaring success, raising a whopping R54 852 for the Lower South Coast SPCA.

The funds were generated from both the door takings and a lively auction held at Rocky Ridge, Bar and Music Venue in Ramsgate.

In addition to the financial contributions, the event also collected a generous 241kg of pet food valued at R10,700.

Jacques van der Hoven of Rocky Ridge thanked everyone from the Don Ira Spar Group and Hibiscus Insurance Brokers who helped pull off another successful SPCA Pints for Paws day.

“In addition to our main sponsors, we would like to make a special shout out to the businesses which sponsored the tables and chairs and a cooling truck that ensured we could serve cold beer all night.”

Jacques also expressed appreciation to the bands, staff, vendors, auction sponsors, and everyone who contributed to the event.

Lastly, he thanked all those who brought along pet food and put their hands up at the auction – you ROCK!”
