Public prosecutor arrested for drinking and driving in Margate

A public prosecutor was one of 54 motorists arrested for drinking and driving yesterday (Friday) said the KZN Department of Transport.
Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) arrested the 44-year-old woman for driving under the influence of alcohol at about 23:01 on the R620 Marine Drive in Margate.
According to RTI, her alcohol reading was 0.83mg/L which is four times over the legal limit.

Over the past two weeks alone, the RTI team has arrested more than 130 motorists for drinking and driving.
The arrests were made in multi-disciplinary roadblocks led by women commanders.
