Change lives on National Cupcake Day
Cupcake Angel Shyanne Kanayee encourages people from the South Coast to get involved in this initiative to help 'bake a difference'.
On National Cupcake Day (September 27) you have the power to make a sweet difference in the lives of cancer patients.
Cupcakes of Hope’s Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer drive will be at Galleria Mall to raise funds and create awareness for cancer.
This will be a day full of treats and heartfelt contributions, and every bit of support is needed.
Cupcake Angel Shyanne Kanayee encourages people from the South Coast to get involved in this initiative to help ‘bake a difference’.
You can do your part by:
* Donating cupcakes: Home bakers, local bakeries – everyone’s welcome. Your delicious creations will help raise funds.
* Supply materials: The Cupcake Angels need gloves, boxes, tissues, packaging, small gifts to give away and more to make the event a success.
* Volunteer: Lend a hand and share your time on this special day, helping sell cupcakes and spread joy.
“Every cupcake sold brings us closer to our goal of supporting those affected by cancer,” said Kanayee.
“KZN, your contributions matter, whether big or small.”
This year’s theme is ‘Bake It Forward’ because every cupcake you bake brings hope, love and support to a child fighting cancer.
Bakers are encouraged to bake 24, 48 or 96 cupcakes.

Since 2012, Cupcakes of Hope has supported over 10 000 children and families battling cancer.
In the past year alone, they fulfilled 2 568 financial requests, delivered 3 022 care bags, celebrated 111 patient birthdays and supported 21 oncology wards.
