Local author and illustrator Jennifer Carrol is giving young readers an opportunity to let their creativity flow and win some awesome prizes while doing so.
For the month of September, the author will be running a colouring-in competition for KZN children up to the age of eight.
Participants will have to colour-in Gabriel the Giraffe, a character from her book, Sleepover at Grandma, which has been translated into Afrikaans and isiZulu to break language barriers.
There is no entry free. Those interested are requested to contact the author via email on jennifer@theinfinitytree.com or WhatsApp 083 3045970 to download the colouring-in page.
Once the page has been coloured and completed, parents and guardians are required to scan or send a clear photo back to Jennifer.
All entries will be shared on social media, and judging will be based on creativity and effort (not just neatness).
There will be prizes for three lucky winners across KZN (not per school). First place will receive a book, crocheted teddy and certificate; second place receives a book and certificate and third place receives a signed flipbook and certificate. Winners will have their prizes delivered by the author.
