Umkomaas Saps welcomes new commander
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in policing, bachelor of commerce, and an honours degree in public administration.
Captain Phionah Sandra Mbuli has recently been transferred to Umkomaas Saps as the new commander for finance and administration services, serving under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Sanelisiwe Friedah Nkomo (support commander).
Mbuli is a highly decorated officer, bringing with her a wealth of 28 years of core policing experience and expertise. She has completed numerous Saps courses and been awarded five Saps medals.
Mbuli has previously served at Kagiso, Westonaria, Ladysmith, Umlazi, Bhekithemba and Amanzimtoti Saps.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in policing, bachelor of commerce, and an honours degree in public administration.
She also actively serves at her church and is a prayer warrior and chorister who eagerly serves in the children’s ministry, inculcating moral regeneration. “I believe in serving the Lord and putting others first,” she said.
Police spokesperson Captain Ranjith Rampersad said Mbuli is respected for her charisma, character and moral compass, which has helped define her role.
