Grannies’ Walk postponed indefinitely due to inclement weather

UPDATE (September 23): The 39th Annual Grannies’ Walk scheduled for Wednesday this week has been cancelled until further notice.

Lace up your walking shoes, grab your friends and family, and be part of one the Hibiscus Coast’s most cherished traditions, the 39th Annual Grannies’ Walk.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Hibiscus Coast, it will take place at St Mike’s beach on Wednesday, September 24, with registration from 07:30 and the start at 08:30.
For nearly four decades, this much-loved seaside walk has brought together grandparents, families and the community for a day of sunshine, laughter and gentle exercise.
The route meanders from St Mike’s beach towards Uvongo and back, a relaxed, scenic stretch where walkers (and runners) of all ages can go at their own pace.
Whether you’re a golden oldie, a proud grandchild, or just someone who enjoys the outdoors, this is the walk for you.
Entry fee is only R100 per person, free for U12s. It includes a light breakfast, a little bubbly and live entertainment
Thanks to the generosity of Uvongo Spar Pharmacy, participants will also receive free lifestyle health checks on the day.
Club president Simoné Lotter invites local businesses (or individuals) to sponsor senior participants who might otherwise miss out.
Sponsorship is only R100 per person, and you can sponsor as many as you like.
