Spring fest brightens up Ramsgate

Carla Steenkamp of the Ramsgate CPF said the festival was a success.

From delicious eats to entertaining dog shows, Ramsgate Spring Festival goers had lots to enjoy at the Lions Hall last Saturday.

Lion President Peter Lancashire spotted at the festival.

This inaugural spring fest was organised by the Ramsgate Community Policing Forum (CPF).

It brought together people of all ages, and featured live music, games, stalls, and more.

Carla Steenkamp of the Ramsgate CPF said the festival was a success.

“The great response of the community humbles us. The aim was to get the community to come together and meet the Ramsgate CPF committee members as well. It was also a big thank you for all the support we received through the years,” she said.

Steenkamp explained that when organising an event of this nature, many facets need to be covered.

“One of the most important is sponsorship, without which the event would not be a success or perhaps not even happen,” she said, adding that this kind of support has shown them that Ramsgate can do it, and will do it again.
