Donate to Hidden Treasure in Port Shepstone by turning your spring cleaning into a good deed.
Spring may have already sprung – but if you’re thinking of clearing out before the end of the year – keep the special Port Shepstone Hidden Treasure Charity Store in mind.
The little shop, located on the premises of the Port Shepstone Baptist Church (corner of Scott Street), first opened its doors on April 1, 2016, and is lovingly run by a group of dedicated volunteers.
All proceeds from the store go towards supporting ministries as well as assisting the elderly, women and children in and around the community.
Store coordinators extended heartfelt thanks to their loyal clients for their continued support through donations and purchases over the years.
“We could not have helped the projects we’re involved in for the last six years without our amazing supporters. The shop can only run effectively with the assistance of volunteers, and we are grateful for them,” said Mary Sansey, who helps run the charity shop.
The charity shop ministry, initiated by the Women’s Department of the Baptist Union of Southern Africa, has since inspired a growing chain of similar stores across the country.
Clean out your cupboards and donate your gently used – or even new – household goods, furniture, electrical appliances, books, cutlery and clothes. Toys for Christmas are also welcome. Every item helps!
If you can’t deliver your donations, the team will gladly collect.
