Spread festive cheer on the South Coast with the Toy Box Project
Everyone is urged to look around their homes for toys or clothes in good condition that could brighten a child’s Christmas
The South Coast community has once again united to bring joy to children this festive season through the Toy Box Project, which supports the Assisi Convent in Oshabeni and the broader community.
The initiative aims to collect pre-loved toys, clothing, and other Christmas gifts for children living in the convent’s shelter, ensuring that every child has something special waiting for them under the Christmas tree.
Simone Mary, who is helping coordinate the project, said they are calling on everyone to look around their homes for toys or clothes in good condition that could brighten a child’s Christmas.
A Christmas party will be held for the children’s shelter and the community living around the shelter.
Money donations for food or food donations, such as hot dogs or cupcakes, are welcome.
Donations can be dropped off at Mantis and Moon in Umzumbe, Mbango Valley Health Centre (Leigh Ingle), or GraceMed Pharmacy in Shelly Beach.
