Park Rynie Road Traffic Inspectorate team commended for efficiency

The KZN MEC for Transport and Human Settlements, Siboniso Duma, said the team has exceeded expectations in arresting speedsters.

The Park Rynie Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) team has been commended by the KZN MEC for Transport and Human Settlements, Siboniso Duma, for being firm and enforcing traffic regulations with efficiency.

“I mandated my office to take the team, which is led by a woman commander, Philile Shangase, to Gagasi FM for an informative interview,” said Duma.

Shangase was joined by acting principal provincial inspector Ryan Varden, senior provincial inspector R Mqadi and provincial inspector Tim Simpson.

“We are recognising dedication and efficiency. The team from RTI has exceeded my expectations. At Gagasi FM, they spoke about the execution of speed arrests and #NenzaniLaEzweni operations.”

Duma also recently announced the use of cutting-edge technology to arrest motorists during the festive season.

Last week, a successful KZN Artificial Intelligence Summit was also held, which Duma invited the Park Rynie team to.

“We wish to congratulate this team for their high-speed arrest rate and successful conviction of motorists for excessive speeding and other offences,” he said.

“This team is using cutting edge technology to arrest lawyers, engineers, auditors and many other professionals across all sectors of the economy and ordinary motorists. We are demonstrating that nobody is above the law.”
