Muzi Fodo pushes 190km from Harding to Amanzimtoti for mobility rights

Muzi Fodo's Diffabled Not Disabled campaign invites communities, businesses and brands to help push mobility forward.

On December 1, Muzi Fodo will embark on an extraordinary 190km wheelchair push from Harding to Durban (Amanzimtoti).

It’s a powerful journey designed to raise awareness, restore dignity and transform lives.

The endurance challenge is at the heart of Muzi’s Diffabled Not Disabled campaign, which highlights the realities faced by diffabled (differently abled) people, while promoting true mobility and independence.

Muzi’s push is more than a test of strength. It’s a public call to action. Each kilometre represents resilience, perseverance and the belief that every person deserves the freedom to move, work, study, play and participate fully in society.

His mission aims to raise funds for active wheelchairs – lightweight, agile, custom-fitted that offer far greater independence than standard hospital-style ones. These chairs allow users to navigate rough terrain, attend school or work and embrace daily life with dignity.

“For someone who’s diffabled, an active wheelchair isn’t a luxury – it’s a lifeline,” says Muzi. “This journey is a push for freedom and opportunity.”

Muzi invites individuals, businesses, organisations and brands to help push mobility forward. Donors contributing a full wheelchair (R5 000) will have their name embroidered on the back as a lasting legacy.
