Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s birthdate celebrated in Port Shepstone

The celebrations were attended by many sister organisations and visitors from far and wide.

The Port Shepstone Sai Centre in Marburg was abuzz with lots of activity when devotees hosted the centennial celebrations of the Advent of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on Sunday.

The celebrations were attended by many sister organisations and visitors. Activities started with a prayer, Vedam Chanting and followed by a special birthday hawan in praise of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Many attendees also participated in making offerings of hawan samagaree, a true moment of elation. Soon afterwards all entered the ashram to enjoy a special celebration in the form of talks, sketches, dance, video presentations and soulful bhajans.

The youth put in every effort to showcase their acting talent in spreading the basic human values that the Sai movement subscribes to namely; truth, tight conduct, peace, love, and non-violence.

Senior devotees Panjie Hariprasad and Sivalingam Moodley shared some of their lifetime experiences as devotees with guests. Twins Kiara and Tiara Dawlat also shared their experiences as young adults.

Guests were reminded about basic Sai philosophy, Love All and Serve, Help ever and Hurt Never and to be respectful to one another. The event ended with a lavish supper, dessert and a piece of birthday cake.
