Policeman shot dead in Gamalakhe

Detective Sergeant Mlungisi 'Maboyz' Jabe was known for solving many cases.

A well-known policeman, Detective Sergeant Mlungisi ‘Maboyz’ Jabe, was shot dead in Gamalakhe township last Sunday (November 30).

According to sources, Jabe was with a friend at the time of the incident, but the friend was not injured.

Jabe was also known for solving many cases.

His sister Mimi Jabe said as a family they are devastated at the loss of their youngest brother.

She said what hurts the most is that her brother was going to get married this weekend, and now his wedding day will be his funeral service.

She described her brother as a responsible father and son.

Police was contacted for comment, however, none was received at the time of publication.
