Reuben Marsberg still missing: Family appeals for help in desperate search

The family continues to urge anyone who can assist, financially or with information, to come forward.

Family and friends of missing Reuben Marsberg (22) are desperately appealing for assistance as he has been missing for nine days now.

Reuben has been missing since Wednesday, November 26.

From Howick, he had relocated to work at a timber farm in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo.

His mother, Virginia, who hails from Port Shepstone, said Reuben was born on the South Coast, but did not grow up in the area.

A Back-A-Buddy account has been opened as the family are now urgently calling on the public to help fund private investigators to aid in the search.

Search parties have been doing everything they can, but the family now urgently needs to involve private investigators.

Donations are being asked to help cover the investigation costs and to support the family during this traumatic time.

“No amount is too small, we are truly grateful for any support,” the family said.

“We just want to bring Reuben home.”

The most recent update in the case has deepened concern.

Reuben’s 1976 cream Toyota Land Cruiser, which he was driving at the time of his disappearance, has been found abandoned and stripped in Polokwane.

Inside the vehicle, investigators noted a small amount of blood, prompting specialised K9 units to search the surrounding area. Despite extensive efforts, Reuben has not been located.

Several household items are also missing from the property where he had been staying. These include a television, PlayStation, Wi-Fi router, mattress, and blanket.

Additionally, a boat and trailer belonging to Reuben were taken. The trailer can be identified by its blue tyre rims, while the boat’s propeller is marked with red paint and is fitted with a Yamaha outboard motor.
