Village Christmas Market delight for bargain hunters in Margate

There was something for everyone at the market.

The Margate Retirement Village Christmas market was held recently and numerous well-stocked stalls welcomed enthusiastic bargain-hunters.

Village residents and South Coast locals arrived in droves and took the opportunity to do some Christmas shopping.

A diverse and eclectic mix of vendors dispensed snacks, Christmas cakes and seasonal treats.
There were clothes and jewellery, health and wellness products, knitting wool, accessories, travel deals, pot plants and much more.

There were also fruitcakes and cookies while the Big Cheese of Sebenza Village did a roaring trade with their cheddar and brie.

The Govenders’ curries, breyanis, rotis and samoosas were a hit, as were Jib Insanga’s Thai spring rolls.
Chris Wild and his guitar provided the music, entertaining guests as they took a break.
