Park Rynie music extravaganza draws large crowd

It was a celebration of music, culture and community spirit.

Umdoni Municipality partnered in hosting the Wayilense Music Tour to bring 2025 to a close.

With more than 1000 people in attendance, both locals and visitors came together to celebrate music, culture and community spirit at Park Rynie beach.

The municipality thanks the organisers for breathing life into such an event, and to the community for their support.

“Their dedication ensured that this tour was not only a musical showcase, but also a celebration of unity,” said Umdoni’s mayor Mbali Cele-Luthuli.

The music event was a super success that brought communities together.

She highlighted that events like these strengthen social cohesion, reminding all of the power of shared experiences.

“At the same time, they shine a spotlight on Umdoni as a vibrant destination, helping to promote tourism and showcase the richness of our local culture.”

A highlight of the evening for many was South African singer-songwriter and choreographer, Babes Wodumo, who gave the audience an electrifying performance.
