Join free meditation programme at temple in Port Shepstone
The aim is to build inner strength and compassion through chanting, breathwork and storytelling.
The Shree Hanuaman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir invites all to its ‘School of Immortals’, a free programme on meditation and breathwork for focus and calm.
A spiritual initiative by Acharya Ishan Shivanand and Shiv Yog, it teaches ancient Vedic wisdom, mindfulness and meditation to children and adults, aiming to build inner strength, focus and compassion through practices like chanting, breathwork and storytelling, with classes often held at Shiy Yog forums or virtually.
“It’s a path to connect with divine wisdom for personal growth and a conscious future, drawing from Sanatan Dharma principles,” said Jayshree Juglal, a local attorney and programme co-ordinator.
She added that youth and adults can look forward to building kindness, compassion and gratitude, grow values of respect, sharing and connect with their inner light and positivity.
The programme starts at the mandir this Sunday (18th), from 09:00 to 10:00, thereafter it will be held every Sunday. For further information, contact Jayshree on 083 2693578 or Veena Lakhan on 067 0688282.
The mandir will also observe the celebration of Vasant Panchami dedicated to Mother Saraswati on January 23, from 18:00. Students can attend a special hawan and tying of sacred thread on their wrist. For more details, contact Veena.
