More human remains found in Pennington
The bones will be sent for forensic analysis to determine whether or not they belong to one of the new year's day mass drowning victims.
Police in the Ugu District have confirmed that more human remains have been found on Pennington Beach.
On Sunday (January 18), beachgoers came across what appeared to be the left leg bones of a human.
Scottburgh Saps members were contacted, and the bones will be sent for forensic analysis to determine whether or not they belong to one of the drowning victims from the Pennington Beach New Year’s Day mass drowning.
The drowning incident resulted in three bodies recovered, and three are still missing.
Human remains, believed to be a skull, were also found on the same beach on January 6.
