Security company owner shot dead in Mtwalume

Police are investigating the motive for the shooting.

Hibberdene police are investigating a murder case after the owner of Ithunzi Protection Services, Vusimuzi Michael Duma (55), was shot dead in his vehicle in the Mfazazane area in Mtwalume yesterday evening.

According to Ugu District police, Duma was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a dark grey Toyota Hilux bakkie at about 21:30.

“It is alleged that two men armed with a handgun and a rifle fired shots at the victim, fatally injuring him,” added police.

The motive for the murder is being investigated.
