Taxi bursts into flames in Margate Ext3

The cause of the explosion has not yet been confirmed. 

A taxi exploded on Lily Road in Margate Ext3 yesterday (Wednesday), prompting an emergency response.

According to a community message circulated just before 15:00, residents were urged to stay clear of the area, with safety officials and the local councillor notified of the incident.

Lazer 911 Reaction team reported that Ray Nkonyeni Municipality’s law enforcement and the fire department were on the scene and the fire was successfully extinguished.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the explosion has not yet been confirmed.
