Wills, tragedy… and hope at Stonecroft meeting in Shelly Beach
Angelina Anirudhe, who with her husband pastors a local church, gave an inspiring address on Hope for 2026.
Stonecroft Ministries started the year on a high when Chantel Elliott of Chantel Elliot and Co, a leading local accounting and business advisory firm, addressed the members on ‘Securing your future with a will’.
Chantel opened with a smile and the old adage ‘the only life guarantees are death and taxes!’

She then proceeded to expertly inform on the complexities, pitfalls and essentials required of drawing up a will.
She had a wise word of advice for the women to be involved with their own finances as she has seen how not to do so can lead to difficulties later, particularly the need for money in their own personal account.
Following on from the making of a will she took the audience on a journey through the entire process of settling estates, including the duties of the executor and anticipated time lines.

At Stonecroft’s request, Chantel then addressed the emotive and intricate matter of living wills, explaining that they were a legal document making one’s wishes clear on such important matters as artificial life support systems and specific medical procedures.
In anticipation that Chantel’s address would elicit many questions, additional time was set aside and it was all needed as she fielded comments, gave advice and helped clarify legal procedures.
Thereafter, Angelina Anirudhe, who with her husband pastors a local church, gave a dynamic and inspiring address on Hope for 2026.

She started by asking, in light of world events and particularly a recent tragic accident that took the lives of 14 children, how can one have and maintain hope?
She immediately answered, that, yes there is hope and it can only be found in Jesus.
Angelina added that if you are not rooted in Jesus then you can be easily shifted when hard times come.
She referred to Matthew chapter 7 vs 24 to 26, the parable of the wise builder. She started singing the popular children’s song and to everyone’s delight the audience joined in.
Using the building parable she continued that in life there will be storms and the winds will beat on you but if you are built on the firm foundation of Jesus you will still stand.
Hope isn’t a feeling, it’s a choice to hold onto every word in the Bible.
She exhorted the audience to have a close, intimate relationship with Jesus saying hope will never let you down when you are on that firm foundation.
