Volunteers of the South Coast Anti-Snaring group will gather in Umtentweni this Saturday (14th) to clear snares and illegal trapping devices from bush and farm trails in the area.

The clean-up operation will start at 10:00, with the group expected to move out at 10:15.

The terrain is easy, making the activity accessible to most volunteers.

Bring a backpack with refreshments and snacks, wear long pants due to thorns in the bush, and suitable footwear such as tekkies or hiking boots. Those who have bush knives, side cutters or pliers are also asked to bring them along to assist with removing traps.

First aid bags and radios will be available for volunteers assisting with the sweep.
