Bendigo Conservancy hosts frog pond build in Southport

Residents are encouraged to “bring their magic” to this hands-on community project and help make a lasting difference for local wildlife.

The Bendigo Conservancy is inviting residents to roll up their sleeves for a fun-filled and meaningful morning of environmental action.

The conservancy will host a Building a Froggie Pond community project on Saturday, March 14, from 08:00 to 13:00 at B-Cubed Guesthouse, also known as Leka’s, on the corner of Hazel Road and the R102 in Southport.

The initiative aims to create a frog-friendly pond to support local biodiversity and provide a safe habitat for amphibians in the area.

Participants are encouraged to wear gumboots and tough gloves and to bring along a big spade to assist with the digging and groundwork.

Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to Dee on 071 8662129 before 15:00 on Friday, March 13.
